Choose text, voice or video and select Start. After the participation and security checks, the queue looks for one other person in the same mode. A video participant is not paired with a text-only participant. A match requires another person to be available.
Yes. Guest access needs no account, app download or public profile. Before matching, confirm that you are an adult, accept the rules and complete the security check. An optional free account saves your own chat preferences; account details are not sent to your partner.
Cloudflare Turnstile helps limit automated abuse before matching. Complete the check when prompted; an expired or rejected check must be completed again. It does not verify anyone’s age or identity, or guarantee a safe conversation.
Yes. Text chat needs neither a webcam nor a microphone. Voice chat uses only your microphone. Video chat needs both a camera and a microphone.
Open a chat mode in your phone’s browser; no app download is required. Text needs no camera or microphone. Voice needs microphone access, and video needs camera and microphone access. Media availability depends on your browser, device permissions and network.
Check both the website permissions in your browser and the camera or microphone permissions for the browser in your device settings. Close other apps using the device, then reload the chat page and try Start again. Video needs both permissions. Device access is requested only after your confirmation; denied access keeps you out of the matching queue.
A local preview confirms that your camera started; a preview does not confirm that the call connected. Check the chat’s connection status. If the call fails, use Stop, check your network and start again. If possible, try another network. Text chat is another option when voice or video cannot connect.
Yes. Use Report to submit a reason and an optional description for review, including as a guest. A report contains no call recording or chat transcript. Community rules prohibit recording or publishing another person’s conversation without the required consent, but a rule cannot prevent every recording. Next ends the current pairing and searches for another person in the same mode. During voice or video matching, Next keeps your devices ready. Stop ends the conversation without another match and stops local camera and microphone capture. Cancel leaves the queue and stops capture.
Only people who are at least 18 and legally adults where they live. You must accept the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines before connecting. The confirmation is a self-declaration, not identity or age verification.
A match requires another person waiting in your selected mode. Text, voice and video have separate queues, and there is no guaranteed wait time. Use Cancel to stop waiting, then choose another mode or try later. Language and interests cannot create an available partner.
Choose a chat language and up to 10 interests in Chat preferences. Matching can prioritize compatible preferences, but cannot guarantee a shared interest, a native speaker or a particular language. Guest preferences stay in this browser. A free account saves separate account preferences.
